If you live in the north-west part of South Cambridgeshire (for example in the Gamlingay - Croxton - Cambourne area) and frequently use the East Midlands train lines that run from Bedford to the East Midlands, please consider submitting to the Department for Transport’s consultation on proposals to change the services that run along this route.
The DfT are consulting to make changes that potentially make the Bedford to London or Bedford to Nottingham/Derby/Sheffield journeys longer. If implemented, these proposals will result in a line that is not as fast or as frequent for regular users.
The Secretary of State says: “We are asking genuinely open, thought-provoking questions in this consultation because I believe that some of your answers will stimulate innovative ideas to find new and better ways of doing things, but I am clear that we will only do things that will deliver for passengers and which have the support of the public.”
Your submission to the consultation is of vital importance in helping the Department to decide which proposals are given the go-ahead. Please submit by 11th October by clicking here.
