The Aviva Community Fund for 2018 is now open for entries and Heidi would like to encourage community projects in South Cambridgeshire to apply. In total, the Fund will finance over 500 local projects across the UK, with awards ranging from under £1,000 up to £25,000. Applications can be submitted until midday on 9 October into one of three categories: Environment, Health & Wellbeing or Skills for Life.
Public voting opens on 23 October, so applicants should start sharing their projects with friends, family and community supporters to ensure their project receives widespread support. Projects with the most votes will go on to become finalists, considered by a panel of judges, with the winning projects announced early next year.
Commenting on the Fund, Heidi said: “I welcome this latest opportunity for community initiatives in South Cambridgeshire to access extra funding. This constituency has a great array of eligible projects, and I would strongly encourage organisers to visit the Aviva Community Fund website and find out how they could benefit.”
